翁奋以一种批判性的社会研究视角，关注在中国的现代化运动中被现代性分割的人与世界、城市与乡村，以及土地与家园的现实问题。反思在全球化背景下中国的现代性发展所带来的个体与现实世界的冲突、矛盾与危机，以及如何面对的困境问题。强调对于地方问题内在发生逻辑的研究与发现，和如何在日常生活中进行抵抗的工作理念，围绕地方性知识、生活方式、历史、记忆、气候、环境、人、土地、家园、社会心理等来展开。以摄影、录像、社会行动、装置、在地物与文本研究等媒介与方式进行艺术实践。作品在（巴黎）蓬皮杜现代艺术中心、（纽约）现代美术馆、（纽约）大都会美术馆、（伦敦）V&A艺术博物馆、（东京）森美术馆、（香港）M+美术馆等的群展展出。作品被蓬皮杜现代艺术中心、（纽约）现代美术馆、（纽约）大都会美术馆、（纽约）国际摄影中心、（东京）森美术馆、（墨尔本）维多利亚国家美术馆、（香港）M+美术馆等收藏。

Weng Fen, from a critical social research perspective, Weng Fen pays attention to the realistic problems of people and the world, cities and villages, and land and home divided by modernity in China's modernization movement. Reflect on the conflicts, contradictions and crises between individuals and the real world brought by China's modernity development under the background of globalization, and how to face the difficulties. It emphasizes the research and discovery of the internal occurrence logic of local problems and the working concept of how to resist in daily life, focusing on local knowledge, lifestyle, history, memory, climate, environment, people, land, home, social psychology, etc. Art practice is carried out through media and methods such as photography, video recording, social action, installation, in-situ feature and text research. The works are exhibited in group exhibitions at Pompidou Center (Paris), (New York)

옹분은 중국의 현대화 운동에서 현대적으로 분할된 인간과 세계, 도시와 시골, 그리고 토지와 집안의 현실적 문제에 대해 비판적인 사회 연구의 시각을 가지고 주목하였다.세계화 속에서 중국의 현대적 발전이 가져온 개체와 현실 세계의 충돌, 갈등과 위기, 그리고 어떻게 직면할 것인가에 대해 되돌아본다.지역문제에 대한 내적 발생논리에 대한 연구와 발견, 일상생활에서 어떻게 저항할 것인가를 강조하는 작업의 이념으로 지역지식, 생활방식, 역사, 기억, 기후, 환경, 사람, 토지, 보금자리, 사회심리 등을 중심으로 전개된다.촬영, 비디오, 사회적 행동, 장치, 대지물 및 텍스트 연구 등의 매체와 방식으로 예술적 실천을 한다.작품은 (파리)퐁피두 현대아트센터, (뉴욕)현대미술관, (뉴욕)메트로폴리탄미술관, (런던)V&A아트박물관, (도쿄)모리미술관, (홍콩)엠플러스미술관 등에 전시돼 있다.작품은 퐁피두 현대아트센터, (뉴욕)현대미술관, (뉴욕)메트로폴리탄미술관, (뉴욕)국제사진센터, (도쿄)센미술관, (멜버른)빅토리아 국립미술관, (홍콩)엠플러스미술관 등에 소장되어 있다.
